This week's thoughts

There are tons of thoughts and new ideas flooding in. How was last Sunday? Are we keeping the momentum? What sorts of details should be paying attention to? What sort of help do you guys (teens) need from the old guys? The Sunday meetings are lots of fun but we'll need to pay attention to other things and listen to what God's telling us as we move forward.

ok, so I tries to post last night and it never showed up, so if I'm repeating myself, sorry. lol

Anyways, we've been talking a lot about things that we oculd do that would require fundraising, but I'm not sure we have talked about the actual fundraising. I was just thinking about my friend Stacy who just got back from a mission to Africa and how she ended up raising all of he money. She had a little over for weeks to get together $5,000 and she got together almost twice that! She did a garage sale, and lot's of side jobs as well as cutting out unneccessary spending in her budget and writing letters to relatives and friends who would be willing to donate. We could do a car wash or a bake sale, community projects, so on and so forth. Let me know if you think any of these ideas sound fun. I think they could really be helpful and a great bonding experience as well.

One more of our great ideas:
I was trying to think of soemthing fun and inexpensive we could do this summer as a group and I came up with a camping trip. BUt not jsut any camping trip! I was thinking of a midnight by candle light (I'm sure it's called something else, but that's just what I came up with. lol). It could basically be a weekend of fun games and worship and teaching and stuff and then we would all wake up at midnight that evening and all sit together by candle light (or campfire or whatever) and just take a half and hour or an hour or two hours or whatever for prayer. I've heard about it before, and it sounds really cool. What do you guys think?

P.S.- Last Sunday was really really incredible. Truly inspiring, and I'm very excited for things to come. I'm excited for our fun night. Are we going to be doing any teachings soon, or are we still just chillin and figuring everything out?

THIS IS FROM MMMINDY! I MMMOVED IT UP FROM THE OTHER MMMESAGE! HOPE YOU DON'T MMMIND!

Hey everyone,
Sunday was a blast. I was left speachless when the prayer group was finished. I didn't even know what to think except thank God for all of those wonderful people.

MMMike... As for the concert, I was told the wrong person....!! They actually have Matt Maher. If you guys are still interested let me know. I now have all of the info. The only problem is that it is kind of expensive, so we would have to find a way to deal with that.

Also, the ideas that you came up with sound like so much fun. We definately need to do some fundraising for those ones!! :)

Also, for those that were not able to attend on Sunday, I think that it would be really cool if we could send everyone in our group to Madera, Mexico with the church mission groups! It does cost quite a bit of money, but I think that if we get started on fundraising soon, we can raise all the money. I have been praying about it, so I know God will help path the road for us!

As for games/fun next weekend, Jenn and Coda both helped me with ideas!
1.Board Games
a. buzz word
b. apples to apples
c. pictionary
2.Fugitive: like cops and robbers, through town, one group on foot (trying to escape) the other group in cars (trying to catch the ones on foot!!)
3.1-20 count: everyone sits together and tries to count to 20 without two people saying the same number!
4.Card Game: everyone gets a card, some people are the mob, some are the towns people, and one is the angel!
5. Trust catch and fall.
6. Charades
7. Sardines: one person hides in a small spot. Once that person is found, everyone else has to try and fit into that same spot, all at one time!

Well thats all I have at the moment. So everyone be thinking of ideas. Let me know what you guys think of these ones!!

God Bless

Hey mike. Cool idea. sounds like fun! Umm...no worries. Cards will be available.

Spiritual topics:
hmm... what about things like dealing with times when you don't feel like you and God are connecting anymore (like, how do you get back on track). Or being a normal teen but being a Christian all the same. Or the impact that untruthfulness and gossip has on everyone else (ok, we did this one at Fivestones one time, but it just kind of came to mind). Girl talk, guy talk. I dunno. just throwing stuff out there i guess. lol
