About Last Sunday
Okay, so I'm back to posting and I hated to miss last Sunday. Please share all about it. Did you shoot the video? Did we grow again? What's next from here? Share your thoughts, feelings, insights, and inspirations. Speaking of video...I'll be in Florida this weekend shooting a video for work so I'm missing another Sunday! It helps to be able to read about it here. It's not the same as being there but it keeps me connected to you guys. Now, let the sharing begin...

Greetings!
It was great to see all of you last night and I'm still looking for the John Mayer concert information... I could use some help on this MMMMindy? ha!
CIY - http://www.ciy.com/
If you need info on where 5 Stones Student Ministry is attending please contact - David@graceplace.org
NEXT WEEK! We are having some guests join us from a different youth group (about 10 students...) to pray with us and share ideas. I think we should start the night with a game of SPOONS!
EYES OPEN! Please continue to keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities for us to serve, or concerts to go to, or conferences, or outdoor events we can attend together!
Hey All!
I'm glad I got to go on Sunday. Sorry I was late :-(
Anyways, I know the numbers were down a little bit again last week, but I'm lookin! I'm hoping to be able to get a pretty good group for next week. We'll see!
So, I have another opportunity idea for anyone who would be interested. Margaret Ryan (a member of Grace Place) has been trying to get together a special needs ministry for some time now, and she just gave me a call and asked if I could help her out at all.
So here's the deal: She is looking for some teens who would be willing to help "shadow" a child(basically chill with a special needs kid)during one of the Grace Place services. I'm not quite sure what it's all about, but it sounds like they are holding a special service for parents of special needs kids and they need people to watch the kids once a month. There's a meeting about it May 2nd at GP (not sure what time, but I can find out) if you're interested. You'll get a waiver there if you are under eighteen that gives you permission to participate, and an introduction about what you would be doing. Sunday the 11th is the first service that would be held. Let me know if you are interested and I can get you Margarets number.
Jenn, I think that is a great idea, and I know they could use the help. It will be a church-wide weekend held at TVHS, so the needs could be great.
Hey everyone,
Sunday was awesome!! I can't wait to see more people this weekend.
MMMMMike,HAHA!!:) I am working on getting all of the info for the concert. I believe that it is in May, but when I get definate answers I will let you know!!
Just to let everyone know, I have sent an email to Gregg and he said that he would put info about our youth group in the bulletin for this coming Sunday!!
I think that we should get started on doing all the FUN stuff, ASAP!! I think that if we want to go to water world and other expensive stuff, we should start fundraising or something so that we can all afford to go to it.
God Bless
Mindy
...sounds good mmmMMMMindy! let's nail down some dates and places this Sunday!
hey everyone!
sorry i could not have gotten on earlier!
last sunday was great! this time was more like a youth group instead of a planning day, and i really enjoyed it! i think it is amazing how laid back and conferrable everything is!
so about the video thing i still have the camera... so i can bring it sunday if we wanted to get started on a video!?!? it could be a really good tool for showing off our new youth group!
ok and i agree with mindy that we have to start fundraising. i think that in most cases fundraising is usually almost as fun the thing you are raising the money for in the first place! we could do the traditional things like a car wash, or something new! andy suggestions?
Deirdre,
Please bring your camera and we'll definitely shoot some footage and talk about ideas for a video clip to invite others!

Hi!
Wow! I am way excited for all of the ideas coming up. Fundraising sounds awesome, and I personally like the hiking in RMNP. That sounds like a blast. Ok, well, I don't have a whole lot of time, but I just wanted to drop in and say hey. I check back later! Again, let me know if you're interested in the special needs ministry at all. Margaret would love help!
Hey everyone,
Sunday was a blast. I was left speachless when the prayer group was finished. I didn't even know what to think except thank God for all of those wonderful people.
MMMike... As for the concert, I was told the wrong person....!! They actually have Matt Maher. If you guys are still interested let me know. I now have all of the info. The only problem is that it is kind of expensive, so we would have to find a way to deal with that.
Also, the ideas that you came up with sound like so much fun. We definately need to do some fundraising for those ones!! :)
Also, for those that were not able to attend on Sunday, I think that it would be really cool if we could send everyone in our group to Madera, Mexico with the church mission groups! It does cost quite a bit of money, but I think that if we get started on fundraising soon, we can raise all the money. I have been praying about it, so I know God will help path the road for us!
As for games/fun next weekend, Jenn and Coda both helped me with ideas!
1.Board Games
a. buzz word
b. apples to apples
c. pictionary
2.Fugitive: like cops and robbers, through town, one group on foot (trying to escape) the other group in cars (trying to catch the ones on foot!!)
3.1-20 count: everyone sits together and tries to count to 20 without two people saying the same number!
4.Card Game: everyone gets a card, some people are the mob, some are the towns people, and one is the angel!
5. Trust catch and fall.
6. Charades
7. Sardines: one person hides in a small spot. Once that person is found, everyone else has to try and fit into that same spot, all at one time!
Well thats all I have at the moment. So everyone be thinking of ideas. Let me know what you guys think of these ones!!
God Bless
